What is academic integrity ?

Academic integrity means student must be responsibility and honesty in UITM,this includes values such as avoidance of cheating or plagiarism.

What is plagiarism ?

Plagiarism is the practice of using or copying someone else’s like idea or work from another student and then pretending that you thought of it or created it. The plagiarism also always happen among student who was too lazy and love to do last minute assignment.

How to prevent plagiarism ?

By using the pharaphrase. It is like when you have found any information that is perfect for your research paper, read it and you must replace word by the text you are using with it is synonym. Other than that, like me, i could also rearrange the sentence. Such as, active to passive. After that, do not plagiarism but you can use their work as references and give credit for their work.you could also try the referencing trick as the one of the most important ways to avoid plagiarism. It is like, you have to include a reference page as proof to your lecturer at the end of your assingment.

What is academic performance ?

The academic performance is defined by students’ reporting of past semester CGPA/GPA and their expected GPA for the current semester. What is GPA and CGPA? GPA is an acronyms of Grade Point Average while CGPA is an acronyms for Culmulative Grade Point Average. The grade point average or GPA is now used by most of the tertiary institutions as a convenient summary measure of the academic performance of their students. The GPA is a better measurement because it provides a greater insight into the relative level of performance of individuals and different group of students. In this part, i have learn about how to calculate the GPA and CGPA from my madam, Puan Azwin Aksan.
